New Design Sneak Preview!

This is a screen shot from the new design we are working on for our site. The concept is a fusion of our two interests, work, and passion. We will have a home page where you can choose between our featured articles, go to our travel blog, go to our design agency, or browse our travel inspired t-shirt and travel gear store! Here are a few screenshots from what we are working on.

Let us know what you think, we’re still working out some of the kinks so before we say “I Do”. Are there any objections to this union of the new design and Hop & Jaunt? If so,  speak now or forever hold your peace!

New design looks great! Just came across you on Twitter today and looking forward to keeping up with you there and on your blog. After getting my blog off the ground, I think it’s going to need a facelift sooner, rather than later.

Looks fantastic. I like your use of contrasting colors and the graphic touches really wrap up the design nicely.

I only have one tiny suggestion: Maybe turn that facebook button into a postage stamp (crenelated edges, etc) ? I think it would fit in better with the other symbols.

  13. Aly  on February 10th, 2010

Thanks everyone! It is being turned into wordpress template magic as we speak!! I can’t wait either, but this being our first full blown theme I am also jittery about what we might have “missed”!!! (biting my nails!)

Kelsey: I agree with the postage stamp comment, actually until readability became an issue that square was much more “stampy”. The coding has begun so I don’t want to mess with right now but I’ll have to change it later as it will become my pet peeve I’m sure!

  14. Kelsey  on February 10th, 2010

Are you coding it yourself or are you using one of those PSD-to-Wordpress services?

  15. Lauren Quinn  on February 12th, 2010

The first one, the first one!

They’re all super dope. Wish I was a designer. Any interest in doing some pro bono designing? ;)

I love the new theme design. I hope to one day reformat my own theme with a unique design but till then I’ll just drool over cool themes and page designs like yours.
