MEET REMI SORBET, JR. DESIGNER

I grew up in St. Louis, but relocated to New Orleans to pursue a degree at Loyola University. As the junior designer at Hop & Jaunt, my responsibilities include developing graphic items for clients as well as internal projects. In my free time, I enjoy developing my own illustrations and sketching from life, along with cycling across town and perusing the impressive array of art museums and private galleries available to the New Orleans public. Every week, I broadcast a carefully selected collection of late 60’s and early 70’s jazz LPs on WTUL FM (#DJSorbet).

 

CREW QUICK FACTS

Favorite Coffee: Double espresso with sugar.

Greatest Fear: Someone passes me the aux cord and I play the wrong song.

Design Heroes: I obsess about a different illustrator/designer every week, but right now I’m especially inspired by Paul Rand, and New Orleans born sculptor/painter/collagist John T. Scott.
