Calendar illustrations for the City of New Orleans’ #ReadyYearRound campaign. The campaign focused on public education and awareness about emergency preparedness. Each month featured preparedness tips and illustrated how citizens could ready themselves for extreme weather conditions and disasters. Each of the 12 illustrated scenes displays a diverse group of characters of different ages, races, genders, and abilities.
This public service campaign was managed by NOLA Ready. Examples include advising residents to prepare for hurricane season, what emergency supplies to keep on hand, and how to reduce standing water on your property by cleaning out catch basins and planting rain gardens. Images were used in print, web, and social media marketing.
